Central Coast Soccer Association General Annual Meeting Board Meeting Minutes: October 27, 2009 Newport Recreation Center 6:30 p.m. Board Members: Present: Omar Rodriguez, Sarah Hohn Absent: Irma Munoz, Theresa Kronstedt Others Present: Adrian Botello, Zaidali Botello, Miguel Murguia, Ben Wolf, Laura Flores, Bartolo Becerra, Jim Schaal, Robin Schaal, Julie Anna Barclay, Michael Stout, Alicia Hernandez, Vicki Krutzikowsky. Proceedings: Meeting called to order at 6:40 p.m. by President, Omar Rodriguez. Board meeting agenda distributed. Appointed Officers for Registrar position and defined duties. Laura Flores and Zaida Botello will hold this position for the spring season. Treasurer’s Report: Financial Statements were provided for the meeting of what is currently in our accounts. Registrar’s Report: None Competitive Team Update: None PR/Web Update: Please visit www.centralcoastsoccerassn.org. It was asked to have Buzz put picture of donators on the web site. Vice President’s Report: No report. Secretary’s Report: No report President’s Report: Discussion of Donations and getting those on the web site, where we are keeping all of the equipment and gear during the off season is being held in a rented storage unit locally. Also that the grant Omar applied for with the Siletz tribe has been granted for a total of $4315.00. This will be awarded on November 6th at Chinook Winds Casino. Medals have been ordered for all of the players and this season coaches will be receiving plaques as well for their hard work and participation. It was discussed of having an end of the season tournament for the 3-8 grade levels. Omar will make sure field is available for November 14th. Also it was brought up that the players will remain on the same teams for the spring season with the same coaches if possible. Coaches that were present were in favor for this motion. With that in mind it was asked if equipment should be turned in or not along with the jerseys, it came to if the coaches wanted to hang on to equipment they would need to sign off on taking responsibility for lost gear if not Page 1 11/15/2009 returned in the spring. Jersey's will be collected on November 7th after final games for the pre-k through 2nd grades, and the following week from the 3-8 grade levels. Sarah Hohn will be collecting all the jersey's and gear. Also being brought up was the increase of fees for registration. If kids register by February 28th the fee will be $40, after that the fee goes up to $50 for the first two weeks of March. Registration forms will be posted on the web site. Last we discussed Referee's being needed and getting them an official referee uniform/shirt. Appointed positions: Presidency will remain with Omar Rodriguez, Registrar, Laura Flores; Assistant Registrar, Zida Botello, with any assistance needed from Robin Schaal. Sarah Hohn will head as the Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator.
