Frequently Asked Questions How old must my child be to play on a recreational team? Children enrolled in the Pre-K through 8th grade are eligible to play on a Central Coast team. Home schooled children are also eligible. How old must my child be to play on a competitive team? Children 10 and up can try out for one of the competitive teams. We don't live in any of the towns that have a team, can my child still play? Any child living in Lincoln County can play. When and where are the games played? Check the Rec. or Competitive page for the time and place for your games. When are practices? Your coach will contact you about the times of your parctices.

Are coaches' backgrounds checked? All coaches are required to go through background checks. Does my child need any type of special equipment? Your child should have soccer cleats and shin-guards and soccer shorts. It is a requirement that they wear shin-guards during any scrimages and games. How can I become more involved with CCSA? People wanting to help can become coaches and soccer moms or dads. You can also assist in transportation of any kids needing it to get to practice or games. Carpooling is great!! Help is always welcome assisting the board in many ways such as publicity and public relations. What if I can't afford the registration fee? Some assistance may be found at the CCSA although those funds are limited. First try friends, relatives or the sponsorship of a local business. |
