The U-14 competative team is formed and has been practicing for the month of July. They traveled to Warrington fields the weekend of Aug. 1st and 2nd and won both matches by 6-5 and 1-0. Astoria has a great team and it very easily couldhave gone the other way. Congratulations to both team for well fought games.
The Fall season had come to an end. On 11/15 we fought the last battle of the campeign against the toughest team for the championship. Unfortunatly, the other team emerged the victor 2-1. It was a great match as were all of the others with them. Our players grew in skills and teamwork as the season progressed under the coaching of Adrian Botello. The final result was 11 wins 3 losses and 1 tie for the fall.
We also were the only team the had girl players of all that we played. Both of these young ladies played well and are to be congratulated for all their fine play.
